    The Field Reimbursement Director will be directly responsible for the time sensitive market development and implementation of the coverage and reimbursement strategy that will maximize patient access and optimize profitability.   This role is critical and time sensitive in the pre- and post-launch strategy with key provider accounts in both the hospital outpatient (HOPD) facilities and private practices.   


    • Directs staff of Field Reimbursement Managers including training, coaching, and people development
    • Implements key initiatives for patient conversion and retention at the local level
    • Owns reimbursement with providers and office managers across all sites of care
    • Develops infusion capabilities at the local level, coordinating a referral network where needed
    • Identifies proactive opportunities to help practices to better understand coverage issues at the local level
    • Works with the Access Services Support Center to help providers to achieve desired access for each patient
    • Works closely with sales force to identify key practices where reimbursement / access services programs need additional assistance
    • Provides case updates and coaching to assigned sales teams to help expedite the referral process and get drug to patients as quickly as possible
    • Serves as a reimbursement expert across payer mix
    • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required


    • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred

    • Minimum of 8 years in reimbursement, contract strategy, managed care sales or marketing, or closely related field
    • At least 3 years in a management capacity in one of the above functions
    • Preferred Experience: market access management; Neurology, CNS; Specialty Pharmacy; Infusion; buy/bill product(s); prior success in product launch strategy, planning, and execution
    • Demonstrated expertise in the reimbursements process
    • Extensive knowledge of Managed Care, Government, and Federal payer sectors
    • Proven understanding of the product launch lifecycle, from strategy through execution
    • Outstanding leadership, team development and coaching skills
    • Well-honed interpersonal skills and customer orientation; proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships internally and externally up to executive levels
    • Strong project management skills coupled with sense of urgency; able to manage concurrent projects and initiatives within established timelines
    • Budget management skills
    • Strong communication skills: oral, written, training/presentation
    • Proficient in MS Office including strong Excel skills
    • Willingness to travel 40% domestically  
    • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
    • Manual dexterity required to operate office equipment, i.e. computers, phones, copy machine/printer
    • Ability to carry, handle and reach for objects
    • Ability to lift and pull up to 15 pounds
