    The Director, HR is responsible for providing HR Business Partner support to his or her respective internal client base while acting as primary support, with dotted line reporting, to the President of MT Pharma America. The Director, HR will drive all people activities, initiatives and programs and manage the following areas for his/her client group: recruitment, performance and talent management, compensation and analysis, and training. This position will work closely with the Head of HR in developing, implementing and evaluating ongoing HR policies, programs, functions and activities.

    Responsibilities

    • Consults with business on a broad range of organizational issues of critical importance.
    • Provides guidance, consultation and interpretation to management as it relates to employee benefits, employee relations, organizational development, legal issues and policies and practices.
    • Leads staffing efforts in partnership with Talent Acquisition ensuring department staffing goals are achieved.
    • Addresses and resolves employee relations issues in addition to conducting formal internal investigations as necessary.
    • Performs compensation analysis and makes compensation recommendations related to offers, promotions, and adjustments.
    • Develops outcomes-based training curriculum and program announcements for all training activities. Tracks and evaluates each training workshop’s effectiveness and outcomes.
    • Oversees the annual goal setting and performance review process and makes recommendations as necessary ensuring the use of SMART goals.
    • Develops a communication strategy for all HR programs and services.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field; Master’s Degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 10+ years of progressive Human Resources experience.
    • Preferred: Experience in a startup organization; prior pharmaceutical experience.
    • Excellent business writing and verbal communication skills.
    • In-depth knowledge of HR processes, programs, policies and systems.
    • Strong analytical skills.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively, up to executive levels, with other individuals and groups in a matrix organization.
    • Proven leadership capabilities.
    • Advanced MS Office skills.
    • Willingness to travel up to 5%.  
    • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
    • Manual dexterity required to operate office equipment, i.e. computers, phones, copy machine/printer
    • Ability to carry, handle and reach for objects
    • Ability to lift and pull up to 15 pounds
