    The Editor is responsible for editing promotional marketing materials in virtually every medium (print, digital, video, mobile) and at every stage of development from manuscript/layout through proofs. The incumbent ensures that every project is accurate, error-free, and reads well; has a uniform, professional look; and adheres to brand claims/messaging, medical, legal, and regulatory guidelines.



    • Reviews all marketing and sales training materials (e.g., sales aids, journal ads, slide presentations, websites, emails, TV ads, patient materials including instructional videos) for assigned brand(s).
    • Understands the objective of each piece and advocates for appropriate use of any product claims, images, footnotes, references, etc.
    • Follows directions and manages multiple, concurrent projects while adhering to deadlines and tracking with overall workflow requirements.
    • Develops and provides input for policies, procedures and training related to advertising, promotion and marketing compliance, drawing on a current knowledge of FDA guidelines and regulations governing product promotions.
    • Acts as an expert resource on grammar, punctuation, and other editorial issues.
    • Assists in the development and refinement of an internal editorial style guide to ensure a consistent, uniform editorial approach to all marketing and sales training materials.
    • Performs other duties as required.


    • Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in English, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing or related major.
    • Master’s degree is a plus.
    • 3+ years pharmaceutical marketing/advertising editing experience; some agency experience is preferred
    • Thorough familiarity with AMA style
    • Knowledge of FDA guidelines and regulations governing pharmaceutical advertising
    • Exceptional writing and editing skills
    • Strong organizational skills; ability to juggle multiple projects and work well under pressure while maintaining stringent attention to detail
    • Exceptional oral communication and interpersonal skills including tactful negotiation skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
    • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat Pro (all editing is done electronically)
    • Veeva PromoMats experience is a plus
    • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
    • Manual dexterity required to operate office equipment, i.e. computers, phones, copy machine/printer
    • Ability to carry, handle and reach for objects
    • Ability to lift and pull up to 15 pounds
