    The Senior Manager, Data Governance is responsible for owning and managing commercial data for existing and future brands at Mitsubishi Tanabe Pharma America, Inc. (MTPA).  The position sits within Commercial Operations but works collaboratively with other areas including Strategy & Operations and Information Technology.

    Responsibilities

    • Owns and manages the inflow and outflow of commercial data for Commercial Operations, including patient-level data aggregated by ValueCentric, IMS data, specialty pharmacy data, infusion therapy provider data, and specialty distributor data
    • Owns responsibility for data requirements related to compliance and Sunshine reporting of sales activities with physicians, physician licensing status, and other requirements.
    • Leads all master data management, including updating physician lists according to various compliance requirements and commercial priorities
    • Leads a cross-functional, bi-weekly team meeting on commercial data management, consisting of representatives from information technology (IT), business operations, legal/compliance, and commercial operations
    • Guides the sales organization with updated physician lists that reflecting input from the sales team and monitoring of state license status
    • Guides the organization on reporting systems and manages in collaboration with IT
    • Evaluates vendors and guides recommendation for master data management and commercial data warehouse solutions, ensuring compliance and integrating ValueCentric aggregated hub and sales data, sales and marketing activities – including sales representative call activity, digital activity, speaker programs, and other targeted physician tactics – and potentially medical conference or scientific advisory activity and social media activity.
    • Conducts analysis as needed
    • Works cross-functionally and collaboratively with Commercial Operations colleagues, Strategy & Operations, Information Technology (IT), Finance, Legal, Compliance, and external partners
    • Partner with Compliance in monitoring field-based systems for private health information (PHI)

    Qualifications

     

    • Bachelor's degree; Master’s preferred
    • Minimum of 7 years of Pharma industry experience, with strong knowledge of pharmaceutical compliance requirements and pharmaceutical industry data
    • 3-5 years in a Data Governance role, with direct experience with Master Data Management and data warehousing 
    • Strong knowledge of pharma industry Master Data Management and building/ running commercial data warehouses
    • Skilled at leading and managing projects implementing data systems in the pharmaceutical industry while meeting timelines and budgets
    • Skilled at working with large databases and Business Intelligence tools, such as Tableau and Qlik View
    • Leads by example; displays integrity, collaboration, accessibility, adaptability, sound judgment/decision making, responsiveness, attention to detail and strong follow-through
    • Entrepreneurial, solutions-oriented attitude
    • Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills
    • MS Office expertise a must, especially Excel and Access
    • Willingness to travel up to 10%, domestically and internationally
    • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
    • Manual dexterity required to operate office equipment, i.e. computers, phones, copy machine/printer
    • Ability to carry, handle and reach for objects
    • Ability to lift and pull up to 15 pounds
