    The Associate Director, Marketing is responsible for developing and leading a comprehensive full lifecycle marketing plan for current and pipeline Mitsubishi Tanabe assets, including Radicava, as well as a recently acquired Parkinson’s disease drug delivery system. Incumbent will drive critical commercial aspects of bringing these drugs and device to market to include: pre-launch activities, marketing material creation, market research, marketing launch plan, strategic/tactical launch process execution, followed by on-going post-launch marketing. To perform successfully in the role, the incumbent will draw heavily on his/her prior pharmaceutical industry experience, including in-depth experience with pharmaceutical marketing, movement disorders, rare disease, and complex drug delivery systems/devices. The incumbent will have significant involvement with senior leadership, given the prominence and importance of these launches for Mitsubishi Tanabe Pharma America. The Associate Director, Marketing will collaborate closely with other Mitsubishi Tanabe affiliates/functional areas as well as HCPs/KOLs, creative agencies and other external partners to ensure successful commercialization.

    • Develop the strategic, tactical and execution launch plan for Radicava & ND-0612 in Canada. Execute plan seamlessly to meet or exceed launch plan objectives.
    • Leverage in-depth experience and existing relationships working with vendors to write vendor contracts which are sensitive to bottom-line Mitsubishi Tanabe Pharma Canada
    • Work with cross functional teams to create effective, positive partnerships with peers and key internal/ external stakeholders and ensure alignment of business needs and objectives.
    • Leverage existing industry contacts which advance the company’s position in the marketplace and establish the framework for marketing initiatives.
    • Ensure that all agency and partner contracts are negotiated and executed according to the plan and in compliance with all applicable policies and regulations.
    • Analyze individual competitive and market trends. Proactively seek out and evaluate new data sources, tools, and analytics to help improve brand performance, and identify/incorporate industry best practices.
    • Perform company-specific and product-specific desktop research to further inform commercial assessments; support the development/analysis of tailored external market research through third parties.
    • Develop key analyses and presentations for senior leadership and other stakeholders in support of business development/commercialization planning investment decisions.


    • Bachelor's degree required.
    • MBA or Graduate level degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in the Pharmaceutical/Biotech industry in Marketing, Market Access, Sales, or Business Development, preferably in both small and large companies.
    • Minimum of 7 years of Pharmaceutical Marketing specifically.
    • Recent in-depth experience with: movement disorders, Rare Disease, complex drug delivery systems (e.g., insulin pumps or similar devices), product launches in the Neurology/CNS market space.
    • Outstanding business acumen, leadership, business case development, and budget management skills; demonstrated ability to drive profits and maximize ROI.
    • Proven ability to develop and execute a strategic and tactical marketing plan, develop an accurate launch forecast and to lead a comprehensive launch planning and execution process.
    • Bring existing strong relationships with national and regional Neurology KOLs and with patient advocacy groups within the movement disorder market.
    • Possess existing strong relationships and positive reputation with a broad group of vendors and agencies, including advertising agencies, medical education, digital media, DTP advertising, patient education and a track record of successfully leveraging agencies to maximize efficiency and brand performance.
    • General knowledge of commercial agreements and intellectual property issues.
    • Leads by example, displaying integrity, collaboration, accessibility, adaptability, sound judgment/decision making, and an entrepreneurial, solutions-oriented attitude.
    • Demonstrates responsiveness, attention to detail, and follow-through coupled with ability to prioritize/multi-task effectively.
    • Use analytical/strategic skills to synthesize complex information, distill critical insights to inform commercial assessments, and translate to tactical level.
    • Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills.
    • Highly proficient in MS Office; skilled at using Excel to develop pharmaceutical product forecast models and quantitative analyses.
    • Working knowledge and understanding of the Pharma industry, broad therapeutic areas/disease states, drugs/treatments, and related regulatory, commercialization and compliance requirements.
    • Willingness to travel 20% domestically and internationally.
